Louwman Museum - Part 20 - 1957 Jaguar XKSS

After winning Le Mans in 1956, Jaguar withdrew from racing. The remaining cars were converted into the streetlegal XKSS. Only 16 Jaguar XKSS survived a fire at the Jaguar factory. (I know, bad pics, shame on me... Now I have to go back to the museum... Yihaa!)

Louwman Museum - Part 19 - Ferrari 500 Superfast Speziale

This 1965 Ferrari 500 Superfast Speziale (in the beautiful Verde Pinto-colour) was formerly owned by HRH Prince Bernhard. Ferrari only made 37 ex., but this is a one-off:  it has the smaller engine (4l instead of 5l) and specially designed rearlights and interior.

Louwman Museum - Part 18 - Lagonda Lancefield Le Mans Coupés

Lagonda made two Lancefield Le Mans Coupés to participate in the 1940 Le Mans-race.
But then, 'Ze Germans' (who else?) had the brilliant idea to start a Worldwar, again, so no race in 1940. Later, one of the cars crashes at Bonneville, so this is the only remaining Lagonda-Lancefield... in the world!
