Ascari KZ1-R

Ascari is a British sports car manufacturer, named after Alberto Ascari (1918-1955). He was the first double world Formula 1 Champion, driving for the 'Enzo-Ferrari' team. Ascari died in 1955, testing a Ferrari at Monza. (Chicane Variante Ascari)
Strange detail, his father also died in a carcrash, also when he was 36, and also four days after surviving a terrible crash. They both won 13 championship GrandPrix and both drove car number 26.
Ascari was a very superstitious man. He always wore his pale blue helmet. On the day of he crash, he used a white helmet... Wrong choice...

The owner of Ascari is the Dutch businessman Klaas Zwart. (The car is called the K.Z.1... get it?)
The normal KZ1 has the 5l. V8 (BMW M5) engine with 500hp. (0-100km/h in 3.7sec.) Only 50ex. were made.
This car is the Ascari KZ1-R GT3, participating in the new FIA GT3 European Championship.

They also own a racetrack near Ronda, called "Race Resort Ascari" (Southern Spain)
