At the 1000km of the Nurburgring, chassisnr. 012 retired from the race early after the new lightweight frame broke. Drivers were Jo Siffert and Derek Bell. Fully repaired, it was later sold to Reinhold Joest, who raced it with a six cylinder turbocharged engine. Now it is fully restored to its original specification.
