Zoute GrandPrix 2013 - Day 3 - Concours d'élégance - Part 24 - Bugatti Type 57 C Special Coupé

A very special Bugatti, one of my favorite cars @ the concours and winner of the 'most original car'-award: 1936 Bugatti Type 57 Special Coupé. It was used for over 20 years at the factory in Molsheim, and was hidden for Ze Germans in WWII. The car was eventually sold in 1959 and has never been restored. In 2009, it was sold at an Gooding-auction for 1.250.000$ (video here). But... in 2013 the car was sold again at the Bonhams auction in Paris for merely 690.000 euro. (Link)
(Gooding Company claims this was Ettore Bugatti's personal car, but Bugatti only used the chassisnr. of his old 57 Torpédo on the Special Coupé to avoid taxes.)
